Our Story
About the Artist
I grew up in the Hudson Valley region of New York. My mom planted the seed of creativity by teaching me simple sewing and embroidery at a young age. Like many early hobbies, they sadly end up being put on the shelf once the hustle and bustle of life began. Enter college. Enter career. Enter children. Exit free time. Enter creative longing. Boards on Pinterest bursted at the seams. Then, as my kids started needing less of me and filling their time with their own interests and social lives, slices of time started to present themselves. I nudged myself to stop scrolling and pinning and start making and doing. Angel From Montgomery Handcrafts pays homage to my mom, the creative longings she never got to fulfill, my small home town and a favorite song. AFM Handcrafts is a creative homecoming.
